The Sony Filling station in Savar district, Dhaka, Bangladesh. This bizarre creation was the brainchild of a flamboyant downtown-Dhaka cinema owner who also owns and runs this filling station. Around 15 years ago he decided to build a model of an airplane to serve as the roof covering for his filling station, and also built the station office in the style of an airport hangar. Local rumour says that the owner was prevented from installing lights inside the airplane model or on its wings, in case pilots passing above might become confused and attempt to land their plane nearby.
